Jamie's 2nd Month

As you can see from these photos, Jamie is becoming so much more alert to his surroundings.  So much fun watching him grow and develop!

This winter we keep getting pounded by snow storms.  Last year we would have been out sledding and maybe trying out snowshoeing and/or cross-country skiing.  This year with Jamie we're pretty much homebound, other than going to doctor appointments and the market.  This was the snow level right before Sarah arrived for her visit.

The photo below shows the path Danny had to dig out in the middle of the night right before leaving for San Francisco.  He had to get to the woodpile when our boiler went out and didn't want Jamie and I stuck without heat until the repair guy could get to our house.  Poor guy couldn't even take a hot shower after all that shoveling since the boiler heats our water.

We got another storm right after Sarah left (once again a day late and a dollar short to prolong her visit), but it was a nasty wintry mix of snow, freezing rain, ice, and sleet.  It sucks chipping inches of ice off of your car and is treacherous to go out in, but can also be quite beautiful.
